The look awesome!
ReplyDeleteThose turned out a great color. Will it wash out though? I guess if used in little quilts it's not like they would get washed much!
ReplyDeleteI really like the difference, nice idea for brights.

Thanks for your comments friends! Coffee stains pretty good, but some would wash out! I think it could be set with vinegar while soaking, but I just put it in for a minute just to see what it would look like! It was a fun transformation! Rit dye would be better for lasting purposes of the fabric!

Wow... The coffee made such an impact of natural color. I really like it. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty! I like the coffee dye - I'm not a big fan of tan rit - I always seem to get a "peachy" effect with it. ~Ann
ReplyDeleteI know! I can't wait to make something with them! And yes, Ann, I too have had that peachy effect, and tea makes a yellow effect with my water. Sometimes I mix the two. Cheri Payne has a nice recipe of Instant Tea and coffee in her patterns and in the patterns she has in our magazine!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing what a little dye will do!! They look great!
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing transformation! I will have to start looking at fabric a different way from now on. I coffee stain muslin,n never thought of "regular" fabric.
